Sven has lived for his entire life in the village of Boda, southwest of Stockholm in Sweden and lives in the house that his father built in 1925. Peter de Ru's absorbing and thought-provoking photo-essay documents Svenʼs daily life, routines and surroundings. Through engagement with Svenʼs life, the viewer becomes conscious of different existential aspects such as the passage of time and the choice individuals face in the course of a lifetime.
