In Kattegatt Sea, equal distance from Sweden and Denmark, the Danish island Anholt is situated. That is where photographer Jäger Arén, with an eye for hidden things and everyday situations, has been strolling in the surroundings where since childhood he has resided in summertime.
The book is made in memory of the photographer's brother, Philip Arén (1967-2000).
In an essay the Danish poet and writer Vagn Lundbye looks on the island and its inhabitants from a historical perspective.
